A mission with passion

At Kinder, we’re empowering global citizens to do good, better. We know that trust in the charitable giving sector is at an all-time low – and that as individuals, we can struggle to feel like we can make a difference when it comes to global issues. We’re fighting these obstacles with effective solutions that help both the charitable giving sector and individuals become more impact-driven and informed. The result is a team of global organisations and citizens who are able to make a real, meaningful difference to the causes they care about.

Summed up, our main impact areas are:

  • Enabling seamless and effective donations through tech-for-good tools such as our Donation widget.
  • Steering charitable organisations towards becoming more transparent and accountable through our Vetting framework and Charity Zone.
  • Informing individuals about organisations that will use their donations and engagement the most effectively through our in-house media platform Kinder World.

This is you

With several years under your belt in an agency or in-house, you're ready for your next exciting challenge in a Product/UX/UI role.

You don’t shy away from responsibility from big projects. Besides making design changes you will be developing and managing our design systems and help drive the design of all our online products. You are a self starter that is capable of starting (scoping), planning (we work in sprints) and finishing large projects on your own - and show initiative whenever something can improve. To you, working within and building design systems is a piece of cake and you thrive on the close collaboration required between design and development to realise the vision.

You're an advocate for the user, comfortable making decisions based on user research (and a bit of experience) and are happy to defend your design choices, or have a friendly debate about it within the team. With an exceptional eye for detail, you are well versed in UX and UI design having built real products for the web, mobile and apps.

But you're not just a pixel pusher. You're a natural at ideation, creativity and craftsmanship, and will help us build our brand. A visual communicator who is comfortable with art direction and visual design, you can easily jump between scoping a new web component to creating cool graphics for an event.

This role caught your eye, not only because you think your skills match the profile but because you genuinely care about doing good and share our values when it comes to solving global issues.

  • Conduct user research and testing and advocate for our users.
  • Prepare pixel perfect designs and work with our developers to build and refine our design systems and integrate new features into our evolving products.
  • We work in sprints, so you'll be required to present your work with logic and clarity and rapidly iterate the designs based on feedback.
  • Be a self-starter. You proactively own and drive projects with focus, pace and a positive attitude to find solutions.
  • Use your art direction and visual design skills to lend a hand with other exciting design tasks such as: launch campaigns, presentations, infographics, illustrations, motion, social media content, events, publications and much more.
  • Have an active interest in new design trends, learning skills and sharing ideas.

Requirements

  • A degree-level qualification in Graphic Design, Digital Design or similar

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You are proactive and you dare to present new ideas and challenge us

  • Proficient in English (Dutch a bonus but not required)
  • Excellent time management skills and can juggle multiple projects
